Some people are always upset when we try converting our salaries to dollars for basic analysis. They often ask questions like, 'We are in Ghana and spend in Ghanaian cedis, so what's the point of converting your salary to another currency?'
Well, whether you like it or not, the dollar rate affects the purchasing power of our salaries. Most of the goods we use in Ghana are imported and paid for in dollars. When the dollar rate rises, it impacts prices here.
If 1 GHC was equal to 1 dollar, my one-month salary could buy me three of the latest iPhones rangingbetween 800 to 1,200 dollars, and I’d still have some change.
But with the current dollar-to-cedi rate (1:16.63), I would need about seven months of salary to buy just one. That's how bad the rate can impact our purchasing power.
Business doesn't work for everybody, just assess yourself and find where you belongs to. Telling someone to invest money into something he or she has no basic knowledge about it would be a difficult thing to decide. In business, you don't follow the mouth of people because the product that works for my location might not be working for you at your location. Just assess the basic needs of your location and start studying their spending habits before investing money into that particular commodity.
Don't be happy about the recent increment of Cocoa Price by the current administration of Ghana
One tone of Cocoa is equivalent to 12000 dollars.
Let's to do the simple mathematics
0ne tone of Cocoa is equivalent to 16bags of Cocoa. So, 16bags×12000=192,000.00
Now, the price given to farmers is equivalent to 3000.00. so, 3000×16=48,000.
Farmers will get 48,000.00 per tone and the government will also get 192,000 per tone.
So, Government minus Farmer(192,000-48,000.00)=144,000.00.
Therefore, the government is making more profit than farmers. The government is actually making a lot of profit for no work done. The difference is so huge!!😪😪😪😪

The system of this country can take your life like aviator. We live in a very rigged system where it favours few class of people and leaving the masses on the street. No mercy, sympathy and love from those who control our resources. A country with abundant resources can't make life enjoyable for its citizens but the citizens have to pass through a lot of dubious means before he or she can survive partially with no hope to make it anymore. It very sad to see your energetic youths in trauma due to rigged system of this country. The system has become who knows you and few of them surviving on luck. The recently departure of our youths is as a result of emotional tortures and psychological malfunctions of our body. The system doesn't sound well for us to push our visions through; the situation keeps on increasing with no drastic measures to curtail the situation from feature occurrence. Things are very though for the citizens and it doesn't concern anybody. The flying pan is very hot, try your best as a youth to find your way out from the flying pan.
